The switch to daylight saving time will occur on the last Sunday of March, on March 31, 2023.

Did you know?

Although in March 2018, the European Commission suggested putting an end to time change as of 2021, time change is still topical since the latter has established the calendar defining the beginning and the end of the winter and summer period until 2026 included.

France has been changing time for over 45 years! This change first occurred in 1975, following the first 1973 oil shock. The government hoped to limit electricity consumption by matching the time of day to the rhythm of the sun.

Since 1998, the switch to winter time applies to all countries of the European Union: it occurs each year, on the last Sunday of October.
