Gorgy Time is a French industrial SME created in 1974. We design, manufacture and sell time synchronisation and time display solutions.
Our organisation
Our company is located in La Mure, near Grenoble (France), in a 4,000 sq. m building. The Gorgy Time premises combine its R&D, design, testing, production, sales, marketing, customer service, accounting and HR activities.
Our teams are specialised in mechanics, network computing and embedded electronics.
We manufacture our products in France and we sell them worldwide.

Gorgy Time anticipates the needs of its Time & Frequency market in computer network technologies and ensures the security of time synchronisation against increasingly frequent cyberattacks on GPS, NTP and radio frequency.

With its strong international presence since its creation, Gorgy Time has now many customers in over 120 countries.
More than half of our turnover is generated internationally. Our sales and technical teams speak many languages, and all documentations are available in French, English, Spanish and German. We have a Spanish subsidiary based in Madrid, which is in charge of our Spanish and Latin American customers.

2023Gorgy Timing joins a French group specialised in time synchronisation. The new entity becomes Gorgy Time. This is an important step that allow us to expand our activities and strengthen our position in the market, in order to become a major player in the Time– Frequency sector
Certification and standardisation
Time management solutions certified by standardisation bodies
Gorgy Time has created the AFNOR NFS 87500 code.
Recommended for its fully automatic, maintenance-free operation, the AFNOR NFS 87500 code synchronises and displays instantly an identical and accurate time on analogue and LED clocks of the same site.
Gorgy Time is certified ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 by the AFNOR organisation
The ISO 9001 quality management system has been operational in the company since 2006.
Gorgy Time has obtained the ISO 9001 certification for all its activities, including design. It is worth mentioning that the most common practice is to aim for certification of purchasing and production activities alone.
As such, the company shows its ability to supply a product that meets customer requirements and applicable regulatory requirements, with the aim of increasing customer satisfaction.

Our own multi-skilled design office
The strength of our design office lies in its ability to meet new challenges of the sales team, to select the innovations expected by the market and to be the guardian of the company’s technological “memory”, which is essential for our customer’s installations.
Its skills in electronics, mechanics and computing are regularly enhanced by a partnership with the Polytech engineering school of Grenoble, in the form of work-study and research contracts.

The strength of the Gorgy Time production tool lies in its mastery of all trades necessary to the manufacturing of its products: cabling workshop, mechanical, electronic testing, machining, assembly, warehouse and logistics.
The production area of the company is organised and equipped in order to manufacture specific products from small to large series.
Our ongoing quality research with our suppliers
We meet our suppliers at trade fairs, visit their facilities and access the quality of their production. We favour regional suppliers for better quality control and greater environmental compliance.
We draw on this network to seek out new quality suppliers, while maintaining our own prospecting. This approach is a truly beneficial collaboration and an opportunity to discover new suppliers.
Environment
Since the company’s premises are surrounded by lakes, mountains and protected green areas, all employees are aware of how important it is to control one’s environmental impact. In 2010, Gorgy Time has obtained the ISO 14001 certification for its effective environmental management.
Reduced environmental impacts:
- Clocks made of aluminium (sustainable and reusable material);
- The company does not discharge any effluents;
- The products used in the manufacturing cycle are as environmentally friendly as possible;
- The employees have been made aware of selective sorting;
- The company’s activity complies with the RoHS European directive (2002/95/CE) aiming at reducing the use of hazardous substances;
- It also complies with the REACH regulation on the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals.
